Artwork Donation Agreement

Artwork Donation Agreement

In June 2020, the San Francisco and Paris-based nonprofit KADIST released a new model agreement where artists and collectors can ensure that a portion of the profits from reselling their artwork benefits a cause they support or a nonprofit organization. Inspired by the 1971 Artist`s Reserved Transfer and Sale Agreement, designed by artist Seth Siegelaub and lawyer Robert Projansky,[1] prepared by a group of artists, lawyers, and scientists, the 2020 Agreement of Original Transfer of Art, with Resale to Benefit a Charitable Organization (“the Model Agreement 2020”) gives a charitable twist to the art sale aftermarket.
